My
dad is a folk artist who paints on
hand saws he finds at flea markets and yard sales. He does mostly rural
and street scenes from his memory of the smalltown, Conshohocken as it
was when he was growing up. This artwork was one of my favorites of his
and he gave it
to me as a gift. It's a Christmas Tree farm and one of the things I
really liked about it was the little church off on the side of the
store. This is hanging above the front door on the inside of my studio.
Everyone always asks me about it. People think I painted it, it is so
cool to tell them, nope, my dad did. I've could have sold it many times
over but lovingly and proudly it will always hang above my
front door.
